The Vivo's new V-series series currently features two phones, Vivo V21 and Vivo V21e. The standard V21 already has a 5G variant, but the 5G edition for V21e has yet to debut. While Vivo hasn’t made the formal announcement yet, the V21e 5G was recently benchmarked and certified. We have the specifications of this upcoming Vivo that will round off the V21 lineup.
First off, the Bureau of Indian Standards (or BIS) certified the Vivo V21e 5G under the model number “V2055.” According to the publication 91Mobiles, the phone will launch in India. But this documentation lacks any helpful specs, but the V21e 5G was also featured on Geekbench.
Listed under the same model ID, the new V21e runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 — one of the entry-level 5G chips that BBK Electronics brands have been favoring over the recent past. This platform is paired with 8GB of memory, all powered by the latest Android11-based FunTouchOS at an affordable Vivo mobile price.
When engaging multiple cores, the V21e 5G hits a score of 1502 points on Geekbench5. On single-core tests, the number is capped at 462 points. Save for their different chips, the two V21e phones should share the same builds.
To review those features, the V21e 5G has a stunning notched AMOLED screen. It’s a 6.4” panel that refreshes at 90Hz, delivers a full HD resolution, and houses an in-display fingerprint scanner. The battery is a 4000 mAh cell that charges over 33W. There’s a triple on the back, led by a 48MP lens and a 44MP camera on the front.
