After a short pre-order window, the Vivo V23 5G went up for sale today. The phone hit brick-and-mortar store shelves. Plus, it’s also available through the company’s online channels. Being a high-end sibling of the Vivo V23e, the V23 5G belongs to the most premium V-series line yet. And it comes with a price bump to match the flagship promise.
The portrait photography experience has always been a cornerstone for this mid-range Vivo family. But the Vivo V23 5G takes it to the next level with its dual selfie camera setup. The 50MP wide and 8MP super-wide-angle front cameras are housed inside a wedge-shaped notch — flanked on both sides by dual-tone LED flashes.
Vivo’s advanced Night Mode feature works on both selfie shooters. And Vlog mode, light filters, portrait mode, and manual tone adjustment of the fill lights round off the hardware.
You can capture wide-angle shots with the 8MP rear camera too. And the low-res macro lens on Vivo's new 5G model lets you take better closeups. The 64MP primary rear camera uses Samsung’s modern GW1 sensor, which is larger and absorbs light better.
Speaking of absorbing light, the V23 5G has a neat color-shifting gimmick. The polished gold casing turns a refreshing sea green when exposed to sunlight. The phone also comes in Stardust Black, but that edition lacks the color-changing feature. The rails sandwiched between the two glass panels are sharp, flat, and metallic.
Turn the phone over to find its slim bezel display. It’s a 6.44” 1080P OLED panel that refreshes smoothly at 90Hz. Vivo V23 5G can also play HDR10+ content. And the Hi-res audio produces better sound.
MediaTek Dimensity 920 is the engine inside the Vivo V23 5G. 12GB RAM + 4GB extended memory makes the multitasking smooth. The 4200mAh battery is powered over 44W FlashCharge. And the latest Android 12 x FunTouch OS 12 runs on this hardware. You can pick your V23 5G for Rs. 89,999.
