Like before, we don’t expect the newer V40 clan to be any less fun than the old V30; it will have just as many devices if not more. And if you frequent WhatMobile now and then, you already know that there are V40, V40 Pro, V40e, and V40 SE phones either released or on the horizon, but now we hear that Vivo V40 Lite is also coming soon.
V40 Lite we talk about here is unrelated to the ‘Lite’ they unveiled in Europe during the Olympics, and in some cases, this will be a better one. Their fresh announcement in Indonesia says that Vivo V40 Lite will debut on September 25th within the region, and they released an overview page for it.
This will be an AMOLED 120Hz phone that rocks an entirely flat chassis (different from the original’s curved one) and some odd-shaped camera on the back with 50MP first and 8MP ultrawide lenses. A 32 MP selfie cam lays within the punch hole on the screen.
The latest Vivo semi flagship has AI built-in so there is a chance that we might see a different SoC here, even if they didn’t reveal it. The original V40 Lite had SD 6 gen 1. Some image editing features, background object removal, document scanning, and focus enhancement are a part of this phone’s AI library.
In one of the bullet points, they say 80% battery health after 1600 charging cycles, and they even claim a 4-year battery health guarantee. This V40 Lite will recharge using an 80W wall wart and fill up the 5000 mAh cell from 0-45% in 15 minutes.
