Vivo V40 Pro Appears on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG; Dimensity 9200 Plus, 8GB RAM

Their V40 series went global already. They did not reveal the ‘Vivo V40 Pro’ at the time. But apparently, it’s on the move and will quickly reach the finish line. From what we can tell, it may be the best handset in their entire catalog. Here’s what we know so far about it.

‘V2347’ is the code we found when V40 Pro first appeared on NBTC’s database. But now it has reached Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench with plenty of details. Piecing together all the stats, we believe it’s a near-flagship mobile by all accounts.

Geekbench scores are downright excellent: 1811 points on single and 5229 on multiple cores. That’s because a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ is behind the scenes pulling the load. Also, the variant they tested here is 8 GB. There’s potential for more performance if they use a 12 GB or 16 GB option.

Both of those variants are plausible if you look at the reports. Technically, this latest flagship Vivo mobile is already official in China but under a different title. Their Vivo S19 series debuted back in May. Seeing that all other V40 models are renamed S19 phones, we believe the V40 Pro is an S19 Pro at the hull.

By that logic, a 6.78” AMOLED is expected of V40 Pro. It pulls a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5k resolution. There’s 4,500 nits brightness, and the power source they used here is a 5500mAh battery. 80W will be the fast charging support to fuel the cell.

Then we have S19 Pro/V40 Pro cameras. 50MP up front takes selfies, 50MP lens outback is primary, and there’s a 50 MP 2X telephoto. That third silo is probably an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. It does have an IP68 rating, but it comes at a cost. There’s no headphone jack or SD card expansion.
