Not many days ago, they made the Vivo V40 official in Pakistan, and from today, we’ll also be seeing the other sibling Vivo V40e in our market, as promised. There was an announcement yesterday for Vivo V40e’s arrival in Pakistan with a pre-order window till 2nd November, and they priced it nearly as much as the last V30e, even though it hauls big upgrades.
It’s a grade-A phone, chamfered on the sides, and they gave it a curve AMOLED 6.77” 1080p panel that can push pixels around at a 120Hz refresh speed. And if that’s not enough, it will even get you HDR10+ support, so it will adjust the brightness level of individual pixels to make the HDR content pop.
And yes, there’s a 50 MP peeper on the front under a very small cutout, and it takes really sharp selfies. There’s also a 50 MP IMX882 shooter around the back, and the second one is only an 8 MP ultrawide unit, but everything comes together nicely for great imaging.
They dropped Snapdragon and gave MediaTek a chance with a Dimensity 7300 chip, which will perform way faster in games or multi-thread tasks. Vivo was confident enough to promise three-year OS updates with Vivo's latest 5G phone. Another special thing to note about this phone is the IP64 rating.
It’s Android 14 and Funtouch OS from the get-go, but it won’t be locked at this version forever. You can recharge it at 80 watts and it should take less than an hour to fill up its 5500mAh tank. Of course, this phone also showed up with a typical under-screen optical fingerprint ID and WiFi 5. They have priced Vivo V40e (8/256GB) at Rs 99,999/-.
