Vivo will soon launch the premium mid-ranger and successor to the old Vivo V40 device from 2024. The new handset, which we know to be the Vivo's V50, is supposed to launch on February 17th, but someone has leaked its hands-on photos ahead of time.

This one is the officially advertised Starry Blue Color of the Vivo V50 that’s coming with Titanium Grey, and Rose Red finishes as well. Renders are one thing, but nothing’s more helpful than true hands-on images to ascertain a phone’s appearance. We can thank the X leaker Anvin for the expose.

The images and the forward-facing screen grab helped determine several other things about the Vivo V50. We can see the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 mentioned in the About section. It says octa-core 2.63 GHz platform, in case you missed the translation.

The new Vivo 5G mobile also has 12 GB of physical RAM and, you guessed it, an expanded virtual RAM of up to 12 GB. This phone even carries the new Android 15 operating system with FunTouch OS for the global market. For the Chinese market, this will be an Origin OS.

Vivo V50 will also grab up to 512 GB of storage, probably belonging to the maxed-out top-tier version of this device. As you can see in the images, the device is quite huge. That’s because the Vivo allegedly used a 6.78” massive AMOLED panel on the front. It’s 120Hz and 1.5k in resolution.

NCC revealed that the device has a 6000mAh battery. There was also a mention of its charging speed at a fast 90W input, a slight uptick over the existing predecessor at 80W. Also Vivo's Price for V40 and V50 models wont be that different. The rumors foreshadow a 7.39 mm chassis for the Vivo V50, which is an insane number for a build with a 6000mAh battery in it.

Vivo teased the phone recently by opening a dedicated launch page, and V50’s camera details were mentioned on the site clear as day. Its first camera is a 50MP primary OIS shooter, and the second one is a 50MP ultrawide. Surprisingly, the selfie camera is also a 50MP shooter, so the picture quality should be uniform across the board. Vivo plans to unveil the V50 on February 17th and should reveal the pricing and availability details on the same day, so stay tuned.
