Vivo V50, V50e, and Y29 4G in the Works; All three Devices Get Certified by EEC

Vivo has three new phones on the way; two are from their V series and one is from the Y family. EEC has just passed Vivo V50 and V50e, side by side with an entry-level Vivo Y29 4G, so all three handsets are heading out sometime in the next few months.

Vivo’s V40 series is not even two months old, so the confirmation and certification for its replacers show that the company is quite eager to unveil the next Vivo V50 and V50e. Of course, the EEC certification hasn’t revealed any details about their plans, but at least we have each of the handset’s model numbers.

They assigned model code ‘V2427’ to Vivo V50 which is supposed to be the base phone within this midrange family. It will replace the two-month-old V40 handset, released with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 80W charging, and a curved AMOLED 2k 120Hz panel.

Vivo's latest 5G phone also got indexed by EEC under the model number ‘V2428’ and the phone seems to be Vivo V40e’s replacer. Also, if coming from an already amazing set of specs like a curved 1080p AMOLED, double 50 MP cameras, or Dimensity 7300, the upgraded successor should be the best semi-mid-range phone.

Vivo Y29 4G is another handset we spotted on EEC and they assigned it a model number ‘V2434.’ There are no specifications on any of those listings, but the rumor mill will probably pick up where EEC left things off and dig for more info about these phones in the future.
