Vivo X Note is the Upcoming NEX Series Flagship; Bleeding-edge Specs and Phablet Dimensions

There won't be a Samsung new Note model for 2202 or for years to come but Vivo is introducing its own Note. Vivo’s NEX series features the brand’s most cutting-edge phones (often concept products). The NEX 3 was the last in this line in 2019. For its follow-up, Vivo is revising the naming scheme and calling the upcoming phone the Vivo X Note.

The X Note has been certified by Chinese agencies under the model number “V2170A.” This public 3C listing doesn’t contain any relevant system specs apart from the 80W wired charging support for the phone. It also confirms that the Vivo X Note will not be a concept phone and that it’s soon dropping in the Chinese market.

WHY Lab, the Chinese phone leaker, has published the core spec sheet of the Vivo X Note. Vivo’s Note is a hefty, bulky device, clocking in at a depth of 9.2mm and a weight of 221g. The 7” curved display is almost the size of a small tablet. It’s reportedly a Samsung-made E5 OLED panel, peaking at quad HD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

Everything runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 80W FlashCharge. The smartphone is suggested to join the Vivo price list soon.

Lastly, the camera cluster features a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor, a 12MP IMX663 shooter, and a 12MP 5x OmniVision telephoto lens. In related news, rumor has it that Vivo also has their first foldable phone — the NEX 10 Fold — lined up for launch soon.
