Vivo is gearing up to unleash a photography beast dubbed Vivo X100 Pro Plus. While the vanilla X100 and X100 Pro have recently graced the global stage, whispers entail that the Pro Plus model launch should happen around April next year, and it may redefine the camera game entirely.

Leaked details from reliable sources, including the notorious Digital Chat Station on China's Weibo, suggest that the Vivo X100 Pro Plus will sport a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. This groundbreaking setup not only allows 10x optical zoom but an astronomical 200x digital zoom, opening up new horizons for mobile photography.

Currently in the testing phase, the prototype features a 4.3X optical zoom, a 100mm focal length, and a 1/1.5 inches sensor. To the front, the X100 Pro Plus will likely boast a 2K display and the formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC to power its high-resolution camera.

The Vivo latest 5G model will bear enhanced biometric security with an under-display fingerprint sensor utilizing ultrasonic tech for faster and more accurate reading. The rear camera array will anchor a 50MP primary camera backed by Sony's LYT-900 "one-inch type" sensor.

While the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9300, the Pro Plus model will overcome the older sibs with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Reports indicate that the base model will feature 12GB of RAM and 512GB of native storage.

As part of BBK Electronics, Vivo aims to position the X100 Pro Plus as the highest-performing device in the market, pushing the boundaries in mobile photography. Come April, we’ll see if Vivo goes through with its claim. Until then, stay tuned for more updates.
