The Chinese manufacturer has officially announced plans to unveil its next-generation Vivo X100 series by the end of this year. This new lineup is to include standard, Vivo X100 Pro, and Pro Plus models, serving as successors to the existing X90 series.

Fresh details about the upcoming smartphones emerged online via the notorious Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. According to the insider information, the Vivo X100 Pro and Pro+ models will be IP68-certified, ensuring high-level water and dust resistance.

This feature will not extend to the standard X100 model — the IP rating for the device remains unconfirmed at the moment. For context, the previous X90 series had IP64 and IP68 certifications for its non-pro and pro models, respectively.

Another highlight of this device is the included 50W wireless charging support; however, it will be exclusive to the Pro and Pro+ variants. Vivo's latest 5G models in the X100 series are said to come equipped with dual stereo speakers, an X-Axis linear motor, and an IR Blaster.

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are slated for a November release in China, while the high-end Pro+ model will grace the stage in the first quarter of 2024. Under the hood, the standard and pro models are to feature the yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 9300 SoC. The Pro+ will likely draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

All three models will sport significantly upgraded camera systems, with the Pro+ variant featuring an alleged rectangular island housing instead of a circular camera module. With these advanced features, the Vivo X100 series promises to be a significant upgrade over its predecessors.
