They just debuted the Vivo X200 in China, a phone that’s an entry point to their best-in-class 2024 flagship X series with a vanilla and a Pro model. This one is the former and while we may see it lag behind the Pro in some categories, it’s still up there with one of the best handsets we’ve ever seen.
They gave Vivo X200 a Dimensity 9400 chip, the finest mobile chip MediaTek has fabricated so far, and they wired it to 16 GB RAM. There’s either 256 GB storage in the base X200 or they have a 1 TB option for it that’s a little more expensive.
There’s a quad-curve 6.67” screen on its front side and it’s perhaps one of X200’s better qualities due to the HDR10+ content it shows and Zeiss calibration for life-like colors. This one can do a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate and the AMOLED panel they used on it can reach 4500nits brightness.
Those cameras on Vivo's future flagship are exquisite, although not as good as the Pro version but still good enough to dub flagship. 50 MP Sony IMX 921 is the main unit within that T* coated Zeiss glass ring and the second one is a 50 MP IMX 882 telephoto that can zoom at 70mm FL.
Of course, there’s a third cam here that can shoot in a 119-degree wider range and this one is also a 50 MP. Fourth and last is its selfie unit that can snap 32 MP photos. We also hear that they used a BlueVolt 5800mAh cell here and they wired it to a 90W charging kit.
They even acquired an IP68/IP69 rating for X200 so it’s plenty durable, and there’s an official Android 15 OS here. CNY 4,300 (~PKR 168,000) is the base price for Vivo X200 12/256 GB but it gets up to CNY 5,500 (~PKR 215,000) for X200 16/1 tb, and there are some options in between.
