Vivo X200 is the base-level flagship they are cooking up, and sooner or later it will go official with the other X200 Pro and X200 Ultra sibs. At least we don’t have to wait anymore for a peep at their builds. There’s a Weibo post taking to the headlines as it has the X200’s design and colors in one official-looking promo image.
This promo shot is from Vivo's Product Manager Han Boxiao, and he touted X200 to the Chinese audience on Weibo to see what kind of response it gets. This could be a two-way deal with White and Blue color options only, but there’s no denying the possibility of more finishes yet.
The one with white skin is very minimalistic but the Blue one feels flashy with its water wave pattern; two choices for people with extremely different tastes. Baxio’s description of these designs is poetic, he says; “X200 looks different at different angles and light, sometimes like an ocean in a storm, silk in the sun, or a gem with dew after rain.”
A circular glass disc for cameras and we see a white accent around it, everything is borrowed from the old X100. And if the Vivo's upcoming flagship repeats the old design, then there’s a chance that the others will do the same.
Lucky for us, we won’t have to wait much longer for more details and leaks because the Vivo X200 series will go official on October 14th. That’s just two or three weeks away. And on that day, we will see X200, X200 Pro, and possibly X200 Mini launch side-by-side.
