Vivo X200 series has three members at the moment, two if the global markets are concerned: Vivo X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini. The compact version, sadly, didn’t debut outside China. A new leak surfaced yesterday and it would seem that the lineup is missing one more sibling called the Vivo X200s.
From what we’ve gathered up to this point, it could be a value/performance flagship at the bottom of the X200 series. Digital Chat Station on Weibo says that the X200s holds a 6.67” front LTPS OLED panel with a 1.5k resolution (could be the same display as the vanilla X200).
A more intriguing detail from his leak was the MediaTek SoC. This X200s variant might come out with a Dimensity 9400, the latest and most advanced chip MTK has ever made. It’s still behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but this chip with a 3.63GHz prime core is the second best without question.
DCS also says this new Vivo’s future flagship will score at least 16 GB RAM and storage as high as 1 TB. If his claim about the 90W fast charging also comes true then we don’t see the Vivo X200s variant’s appeal any less than the original X200. They are equals, at least in the categories mentioned by the leaker.
Vivo’s X200 has the same MTK D9400 chip and micro-curved OLED at 1.5k resolution LTPS 4500 nits brightness. This phone has an IP69 rating, 90W fast charging for a cell with a maximum 5800mAh capacity. Because it is a pure flagship, the X200 scored a full camera set: primary, ultrawide, and telephoto. Its price might be below the $800 (~PKR 222,000) mark.
