The Vivo X70 series that debuted in China last week is getting a global launch soon. At the event, Vivo noted the lineup is to first land in Asian markets. Among other countries, the X70 Pro is also headed for Pakistan next month (rumors had previously pointed to a September launch), as reported by trusted WhatMobile sources.
Once again, the big highlight of the X70 series, featuring Vivo X70 Pro, X70, and X70 Pro+, is its unique stabilization system: the mico-gimbal 3.0 technology. The international editions of the X70 Pro and Pro+ both adopt camera clusters co-engineered with ZEISS optics. The gimbal technology is integrated into the wide lens on the Pro, but it powers all four cameras of the X70 Pro+.
Vivo has also introduced a periscope-style zoom lens in the Pro model this season. The X70 Pro uses a quad-camera system, made of 50MP wide, 12MP 2x telephoto, 12MP ultra-wide, and 8MP 5x periscope-telephoto cameras.
The Ultra-sensing gimbal camera allows for extreme night vision in dark environments, ultra-stable video, multiple ZEISS style portraits, and ZEISS T* Coating filters out ghosting and stray light to deliver clean, pure shots. Ultra-sensing gimbal is the marketing name for multi-axis 360° video and image stabilization.
No word on the Vivo mobile price yet but the X70 Pro (the one coming to Pakistan) sports a sleek, polished, and clean aesthetic, albeit the design is unimaginative. You can pick from the iridescent Aurora Dawn or the elegant Cosmic Black.
Also, note that while the Chinese Vivo X70 Pro runs on Samsung Exynos 1080, the global edition has the Dimensity 1200 at its heart. The official promotional campaign for the international release of these phones is already underway. We’ll have more to say once the series launches on September 17.
