While the Vivo X60 Pro Launch in Pakistan is still recent, the sequel to the latest X60 flagship series is already in the works. The top-end edition of this follow-up line, the X70 Pro+, was leaked in a Weibo blog post. Here’s what we know so far.
Vivo is once again reviving its partnership with Zeiss for the X70 Pro+ cameras. The X60 Pro+ features a 50MP 1/1.31” sensor. With the new Vivo X70 Pro Plus, the brand is using a bigger 1/2.8” camera sensor for the primary lens. No other optics-relevant details have been uncovered yet, but in typical Vivo fashion, the X70 series is also shaping up to be photography-focused.
Next, we have the internal hardware. The X70 Pro+ has the cutting-edge 5nm Snapdragon 888 at its heart. It’s powered by a 4500 mAh battery that can fast-charge at 66W. Contrasting it against the 4200 mAh battery and 55W charging of the current Pro+ edition, Vivo’s upcoming flagship will offer industry-leading charging technology.
Although it’s a no-brainer for a premium flagship to have a dual speaker, the X60 Pro+ featured a single speaker at a flagship Vivo mobile price. Its successor, however, will have two speakers for an immersive stereo experience. The X70 Pro+ display takes cues from the current lineup. It’s also a Samsung-made E4 AMOLED panel that produces a full HD resolution at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Lastly, the source reports that we’ll see the Vivo X70 series make its debut in June this year. But we’re skeptical that Vivo will introduce two big flagship series in such quick succession.
