The X80 5G belongs to Vivo’s latest line of premium flagship phones placed above the Vivo V23 lineup. It was recently launched as a China-first release. And Vivo is now gearing up to introduce it in Pakistan. The official teasers and landing pages highlighting the phone’s features and launch timeline are also on Vivo Pakistan’s website and social media.
Vivo X80 is slated for release on Sunday, May 15. We expect a short pre-order to follow the announcements. The pricing remains a mystery until then. Here’s what Vivo X80 has to offer.
The X80 rocks the new design language Vivo’s new line of flagship devices adopts. Its camera island stretches across the width of the casing, containing a ring housing the triple-lens camera. The case is squarish and comes in black, blue, and faux leather orange finishes.
Vivo Smartphones price tags usually justify the specs inside so you can expect a user-friendly retail sticker. Turn the Vivo X80 over to find a slightly curved display this time (the last iteration featured a perfectly flat glass panel.) It’s a 6.78” 1080P 120Hz AMOLED that peaks at a super bright 500 nits. The pin-hole cutout in the middle embeds the 32 MP front camera.
Vivo has also hidden an optical fingerprint scanner below the display. We find a cluster of 50MP OIS and Laser AF assisted wide-angle, 12MP 2x telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide shooters. They’re all co-engineered with ZEISS. Plus, a custom V1+ chip inside the SoC does all the image processing.
It’s all powered by a 4500 mAh battery and blistering 80W charging. It’s advertised to deliver a 50% recharge in just 11 minutes! The engine inside the Vivo X80 is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. It’s a competitive flagship chip, on par with Apple’s A15 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Up to 12GB of ultra-fast LPDDR5 memory and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage round off the hardware.
