The Vivo X80 Pro Plus was initially envisioned to release with its siblings, the Vivo X80 5G and the X80 Pro, earlier this year. However, the phone wasn’t able to get the spotlight back then. Fast forward to the present, the renowned leakster Yogesh Brar has recently disclosed some major specifications, claiming the imminent debut of the highly anticipated X80 Pro Plus.
According to Brar, the Vivo X80 Pro+ will pack the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 at its heart, unlike the other models of the series. The X80 and the X80 Pro are powered by the Dimensity 9000 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively. Both these phones, especially the X80 Pro, had several thermal issues tested by many professionals and users. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will pose 30% power efficiency gains and keep the processor cooler.
The recent reports suggest the phone will make it to the shelves in October 2022. However, the ongoing chipset shortage and supply chain issues could delay the official revelation of the device.
Based on the previous rumors, the new Vivo mobile will boast a crisp 6.78’’ 2K resolution AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Expected to be armed with a mighty quad-camera setup, the primary lens on X80 Pro Plus will most likely be a 50 MP sensor. The configuration also includes a 48 MP Sony IMX598 periscope telephoto, 50 MP Samsung JN1, and 50 MP JN2 sensors.
Vivo is also rumored to partner with Zeiss for the camera optimization and tuning on the X80 Pro Plus. Furthermore, the device is expected to feature a gimbal-level camera stabilization and support for 120W Super FlashCharge. These specifications have no official confirmation from Vivo yet, so little can be said of their integrity.
