Following an official entry in the Philippines, Vivo Y02s, the chain’s esteemed entry-segment member of the Y-family (Y22s, Y02, Y16, and Y01a), has finally landed in Pakistan. At a surprisingly cheap rate, it features a premium finish and a competitive spec sheet. Let’s have a look.
Two huge camera silos sit on the back of Y02s, with the upper one housing an 8MP primary sensor and the other housing a flash. The silos seem to have glossy metallic rims around them, and both emerge out of a squarish accent reminiscing the latest non-Pro iPhones.
Moreover, the exterior includes glossy right-angled edging, scratch resistance, an anti-smudge coating, and a matte frosted backplate. Moving on to the front of the Vivo Y02s, you will find a sizable 6.51-inch IPS display, a reasonable 720p resolution (720 x 1600 Pixels), and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Despite its chunky bezels, Vivo Y new model still scores an 82.1% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to that 2.5D glass and a minor 5MP selfie shooter v-notch melting into the screen. To provide a quality user experience, Y02s offers 3+32Gigs of memory paired with complementary multi-turbo and ultra-game boosters.
It comes with a MediaTek Helio P35 chip and a 5000mAh battery. The chipset has mediocre performance, but the Y02s by Vivo uses an Optimized Funtouch Android 12 skin for fast-paced everyday multitasking. It has a Type-C port rated for 10W charging.
Finally, an entry-level at an affordable tag, nothing fancy like the Vivo v23e price in Pakistan. The set of essential features includes GPS, MicroSD card storage expansion, Dual-band WiFi, a 3.5mm audio port, a loudspeaker, and Bluetooth 5.0 to nicely round off the phone. At retail, the newcomer Y02s costs around 29,999 PKR (the official Vivo price).
