Rumors regarding the Y02s, Vivo’s latest entry-level handset, started surfacing recently. Presently, the reliable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore shared a tweet unveiling the Vivo Y02s’ complete spec sheet and renders. Following is the smartphone’s specification breakdown.
Starting with the design, Vivo Y01's new sibling looks quite pretty for the price. There’s a matte polycarbonate rear shell with a shiny camera island. The Y02s measures only 183 grams with 163.95 x 75.55 x 8.19mm dimensions. Do not get deceived by the dual ring modules; there’s only a single 8MP f/2.0 primary lens while the second module accommodates an LED flash.
A 6.51’’ 720p IPS LCD panel on the front acts as the display with a dew-drop notch up top. The Y02s houses a 5MP f/2.2 camera for selfies and video conferencing and also comes with AI beautification enhancements. Thick bezels and a wide chin surround the screen.
Under the hood, the new Vivo budget mobile Y02s deploys an old MediaTek Helio P35 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The handset operates on Android 12 with FunTouch OS 12 on top. A 5,000 mAh power unit juices up the Y02s at an expected 10W charging with the charger provided inside the box.
The handset also supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, an audio jack, a Type-C port for connectivity, and full dual SIM support with a dedicated MicroSD slot. The pricing is still unconfirmed; however, the Vivo Y02s could arrive at around $113 or PKR 26,000. It will be available in Flourite Black and Vibrant Blue paint jobs.
