Many smartphones released in 2024 are getting price cuts in Pakistan these days, several of which were reported by Whatmobile last month. Vivo's Y03t (4/128GB) is among them and officially announced with a Rs 1,000 discount today. The new price tag should be affordable enough if you are on a tight budget.
The new price for Vivo Y03t is Rs 29,999, down from the previous Rs 31,000. Keep in mind that we are only talking about the 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant here. This device also has a 64 GB option, but there’s no word about its price change. Still, this brief overview should help decide if you should take the plunge with Vivo Y03t.
If you are familiar with Vivo Y03, this discounted Vivo Y03t is essentially the same with its SoC replaced. The original had a Helio G85, but Y03t swapped it with a less potent Unisoc T612 engine, which might have helped reduce its cost. Of course, everything else is the same on each device.
Vivo budget new model is built around a 6.56” IPS, which is densely packed at an HD+ resolution (720 x 1612 pixels) and overclocks to a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s smooth with clear visuals. At ~528 nits, this screen is plenty bright as well. We also see an obtrusive notch holding a 5 MP selfie shooter inside.
Its essentials and battery specs are about what you expect at this price point. A 5000mAh cell and 15W wired charging are standard in this segment. There’s no fingerprint reader or NFC. At least we find a good durability rating with Vivo Y03t, an IP54 rating for minor splash and dust resistance.
Its camera setup is an ordinary one. Although it seems there are two lenses, there’s only one functioning camera with a 13MP sensor. That second lens is auxiliary. We have 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, as we said before, and both can be expanded by a Virtual Memory feature and an SD card slot.
This phone showed up in Space Black and Gem Green colors when it debuted in Pakistan. For all these features, The "T" variant of the Vivo Y03 is certainly more justifiable at Rs 29,999 than the original price, but there are still some other devices in the competition that offer better value.
