Introduced in October 2019, the Vivo Y11 is an entry-level Vivo featuring a modern build and a gorgeous design. It comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM options, which have been retailing for Rs. 19,999, and Rs. 21,999, respectively. Today, the company has revised the Vivo prices, following which the 2GB edition is now available for Rs. 17,999, while the standard variant starts at Rs. 19,999 (which makes for a Rs. 2,000 discount on both models).
The Vivo Y11 has a trendy edge-to-edge display, surrounded by narrow bezels and a dew-drop notch. This 'Halo FullView' screen measures 6.53" and delivers an HD+ resolution. Flip it over to find a compact dual camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The back cover has a sheen to it, painted in Agate Red and Mineral Blue, which themselves sport interesting reflected gradients and a subtle pattern across the shell's length. Available in two variants both Vivo Y11 2GB and 3GB share a similar design and specs apart from the difference in RAM.
The AI dual-camera on Y11 by Vivo uses a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth-assist lens. For selfies, you get an 8MP front-camera embedded inside the notch. Interestingly enough, the selfie cam has a wide f/1.8 aperture in comparison to the f/2.2 lens the rear camera features. In addition to the fingerprint module, you can also unlock your Y11 with intelligent 'Face Unlock'.
The number-crunching is handled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 processor that works with 2GB/3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of native storage. The ROM isn’t expandable and the CPU is clocked at an underwhelming 1.95GHz and powered by Vivo's FuntouchOS 9.1 (based on Android Pie). The battery backing this hardware up has a massive 5,000 mAh capacity but lacks any support for fast-charging.
