Vivo Y15s is an entry-level phone that was recently rolled out in Pakistan. The phone offers barebones, essential features for a budget-friendly price just below the Vivo Y21. And Vivo just cut its price to make it even more affordable. Here are the details.
Vivo Y15s debuted at Rs. 23,999. But after the latest discount of Rs. 1000, it’s now available for Rs. 22,999. The phone comes in a single 3GB+32GB edition. But you can pick from Mystic Blue and Wave Green colorways. Both options feature textured flashy polycarbonate casings. Clocking in at 179g, the Y15s also has a lightweight footprint.
The power button on the frame doubles as the fingerprint sensor. The instant scanner wakes and unlocks your phone in just 0.2 seconds. Plus, we find a dual camera inside a raised square. It’s an unremarkable array of 13MP wide and 2MP macro lenses. The image signal processor (ISP) inside the Vivo Y15s is old-gen, so the camera app doesn’t support any advanced features.
Turn the latest Vivo budget mobile over to find a 6.51” IPS LCD. The Y15s delivers a 720P resolution at a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The drop notch bleeding into this panel contains an 8MP front camera. Vivo has also built an Eye Protection feature into the Vivo Y15s display.
Everything is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. There is no rapid charging support, but Vivo Y15s can reverse charge your other devices. In a similar vein, the USB port uses the old 2.0 standard.
Also included in the build is a hybrid slot that allows for storage expansion. The chip inside the Vivo Y15s is the dated MediaTek Helio P35. The trimmed Android 11 Go Edition (designed for low-end hardware) runs on the phone.
