Vivo Y16 debuted in Pakistan on January 17th and was an instant hit due to its stylish design and impressive features. However, within two months of its entry, the phone’s price has skyrocketed to a point where it’s no longer within reach of many consumers.
Vivo Y16’s initial cost at launch (Rs. 49,999) sat nicely with the phone’s overall contents and specifications. But due to hiking dollar costs and Pakistan's diminishing currency, the phone’s retail price has surged to Rs. 68,000, making it unjustly expensive. Thankfully, Vivo has brought back the value to this device by giving it a price cut.
Effective immediately, you can purchase Vivo Y16 4GB+64GB from local vendors for Rs. 63,000 (down from Rs. 68,000). Even better, if you buy the phone from authorized Vivo dealers, you can grab it for a discounted price of Rs. 60,400 (previously priced at Rs. 65,200). The slashed price has snipped off at least Rs. 5000 off the phone; there could not be a better time to buy Vivo Y16.
Here’s a little revisit of the new 4G Vivo mobile specs to give you an idea of what it delivers. It starts with a sizable screen at 6.51 inches with a V-notch melting inside. Its resolution maxes out at 720p, and the refresh rate peaks at 60Hz.
Driving its photography is a dual camera setup with a 13 MP f/2.2 (wide) primary sensor, an auxiliary 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) unit, and an LED flash. There's a 5MP sensor up front for selfies. Even with the discounted price, the sensor configuration on Y16 is less than ideal.
Its core specifications are passable; MTK Helio P35 SoC inside has four cores at 2.3GHz and four at 1.8GHz. Its Pakistani variant comes with 4GB-64GB RAM and storage. Compensating for the low RAM capacity, Vivo adds up to 4GB of Virtual memory to keep multiple apps open simultaneously in the background. Additionally, the phone has a 5000mAh cell; It runs Andorid 12 OS by default and has a biometric ID on the side.
