Vivo Y18 Hits a Massive Price Bump in Pakistan; Rs 5,000 Added to the Retail Cost

We hear Vivo is also revamping its prices in Pakistan. Several of their phones have hit a price bump. Their affordable Vivo Y18 (4/128GB) has surged in price and is now retailing at Rs 38,500 instead of Rs 33,500. That’s almost 5000 rupees extra to pay for the phone.

They also readjusted the cost of Y18’s (6/128GB) variant. In the old days, they sold it for Rs 38,000. But there’s a Rs 5,000 surge now. And it will officially cost Rs 43,000 moving on. That said. We must revisit the phone’s specs to answer a burning question. Does it still hold value at current price tags?

Y18 is a solid bit of gear. That IPS LCD on top spans 6.56” across HD+ resolution. There’s a tight sealing on it to make it IP54 waterproof. You can tell there’s a V notch on the panel that mildly intrudes and a thick chin. One more thing it excels at is a 90Hz experience.

The chipset they used here is a Helio G85. Nothing fancy. It’s a 12nm platform that does a max 2.0GHz frequency. We know the Funtouch OS 14 to be light. So, the engine will handle the software fine. That interface is an extension of Android 14. So, all the latest Google features are here on the Vivo new 4G mobile.

Those cameras out back host a 50 MP (primary) and a 0.08 MP AI lens. But the one you will use for selfies on the front is 8 MP. There’s a side fingerprint here and 15W standard charging. Y18 has a 5000mAh capacity, so it can easily manage a full-day run.
