Vivo is preparing to expand its Y series smartphone lineup with a new device named Vivo Y18. Recent findings on the Google Play Console listing confirmed it's on the horizon. The device, identified by model number V2333, shares similarities with the recently unveiled Vivo Y03, hinting at a possible rebranding strategy for different markets.
Earlier this week, Vivo introduced the Y03, spotted on certification platforms with the model number V2332. With the emergence of the Vivo Y18 on the Google Play Console, bearing the V2333 model number, there’s a likely chance Y18 could be a rebadged version of the Y03 tailored for specific regions.
If speculations hold, both smartphones may share similar specifications. Notably, the Bluetooth SIG certification in February 2024 also hinted at Bluetooth 5.0 support for the Vivo Y18, aligning with the Y03's features. Moreover, the Google Play Console listing provides a glimpse of the Y18's design, resembling that of the Y03.
Under the hood, the new Vivo 4G mobile is listed with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM, and running on the Android 14 operating system out of the box. This RAM configuration marks one of the few distinctions between the Y18 and its Y03 counterpart, which debuted with 4GB of RAM.
While these details offer insight into the Vivo Y18's potential specifications, further information remains undisclosed. We anticipate more updates as the launch of the Vivo Y18 draws near. Stay tuned for all the latest developments regarding Vivo’s upcoming entry-level phone Y18.
