We now get to meet Vivo Y18, not long after they unveiled it globally. It will be available for folks in Pakistan from this moment onward for purchase. They’ve put a Helio G85 processor inside it. So it’s plenty fast in the segment. We also get to see a gorgeous front display there at 720p resolution.

That IPS LCD on top spans 6.56” across HD+ resolution. There’s a tight sealing on it to make it waterproof. And this allowed it to have an IP54 rating. You can tell there’s a V notch on the panel that mildly intrudes and a thick chin. And we should also mention that it’s a 90Hz experience with Vivo Y18.

They used a Helio G85 processor here. Not the best, but not the worst either. It’s a 12nm platform that does a max 2.0GHz frequency. We know the Funtouch OS 14 to be light. So, the engine will handle the software fine. That interface is an extension of Android 14. And that gets you a full suite of the latest Google features.

We know it’s a bummer, but Vivo's latest budget model only launched in Pakistan in a 4/128 GB configuration. But there’s always a microSD slot and Virtual RAM extension you can play around with. And those cameras out back host a 50 MP (primary) and a 0.08MP AI lens.

The one you will use for selfies on the front is 8MP. A fingerprint reader on the side, dual-band WiFi, and a USB C port are all there to assist you guys. We like the 5000 mAh Li-ion cell they put here. But 15W charging is low for a phone of this price. Still, Vivo Y18 is a refined piece of tech that costs only Rs 33,500 in Pakistan.
