Vivo Y18i is their new product, unveiled overseas to join the other Vivo Y18 and Y18e. It’s yet another low-cost phone. And there’s nothing to write home about. Vivo Y18i covers the basics well, and we have an HD+ screen here with a 5000mAh cell that powers its hardware.

Let’s talk internals first. You’ll find a Unisoc engine under the shell, and it’s a reliable one. It integrates a Mali G57 GPU, and we have up to 1.8GHz CPU clock speed. If you haven’t guessed already, Vivo Y18 has a Unisoc Tiger T612 chip. And they pair it with up to 8GB RAM (4GB physical + 4GB virtual).

From what we know, 64GB is the only storage variant launched with its Gem Green and Space Black hues. A flat design and a plastic shell make space for two camera lenses. One of those is a 13 MP first camera. The second one is a 0.08 MP auxiliary unit.

Vivo 4G's latest model has a decent display scale. It has a notch, sure, but the quality is tolerable for the price. A notched header for a 5 MP selfie camera, a 6.56” HD+ screen, and a fast 90Hz refresh rate all sound great. And we haven’t even mentioned its low blue light certificate from TUV.

Vivo Y18i’s 5000mAh cell can last 21 days on standby. A 15W charging speed here tops up 46% in an hour. But we were most surprised by its IP54 dust and water protection. They debuted Y18i in India first, but sure enough, it will deploy in other regions quickly. Its cost is ~95 USD (~PKR 26,000).
