Vivo Y19e Debuts with a 5500mAh Battery, 90Hz Display, and Rock-Solid Build

Vivo Y19e is a brand-new device unveiled by the company with a sub-$100 price tag yesterday. It’s a budget phone meant to expand the Y19 family. The pre-existing Vivo Y19s has been available in Pakistan since November last year, so it’s safe to assume that the newcomer Vivo Y19e will also arrive in the local market. The specs on this model are interesting.

This new handset is outfitted with a Unisoc T7225 SoC, which is widely known to consumers as Unisoc Tiger T612 — the very same chip that powered the Vivo Y19s. The newcomer Y19e brings its hardware to life with an Android 14 OS and FunTouch OS 14 skin on top.

Vivo Y19e debuted in a solo 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM configuration, though you can use a micro SD card to make room for more files and apps. On the top side, this phone has a decent-sized 6.74” IPS LCD with a notch on its forehead. It’s only 720p HD+ but overclocks to a 90Hz fast refresh rate.

It’s also quite durable for a device under $100. The new Vivo budget mobile is splashproof with an IPX4 rating, dust-tight with the best IP6X rating, and shockproof, compliant with a MIL-STD-810H certification. These specs are rare in the sub-entry-level categories. Also, just as rare are the AI features on this thing.

AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance features are also part of the package with Vivo Y19e. This device has a 13 MP rear camera and a secondary lens, assisted by a 5 MP shooter on the front for selfies. The camera should function well with 1080p 30FPS recording and some well-optimized photos.

The speakers on the top and bottom help boost the audio up to 200%. The phone has a side fingerprint ID, right on top of its power button and there’s a 5500mAh battery inside, which Vivo claims will retain its health even after 5 years of use.

The battery backup is solid, but the charging speed is a bit disappointing at only 15W input. That does, however, guarantee the device’s battery health in the long term. Vivo Y19e costs only $90 (~PKR 25,000). If this handset arrives in Pakistan, the price tag will be in the ballpark.
