Vivo Y19e Pops Up on IMEI Database for the First Time; Launch Imminent

Vivo Y19e will be a new installment in their ongoing crusade of cheap and lower-segment phones, as the name shows here. IMEI has listed it on their platform and this is the first time we are seeing the official details about Y19e. These are the things we know.

There isn’t much to note here, mind you, but this is a confirmation of its launch happening soon. All IMEI foreshadowed is a model code ‘V2431’ directly associated with the name Vivo Y19e. We know, the IMEI database doesn't spill any juicy details here, but this could be the start of a new leak era for Y19e.

This phone seems to be the Kin of Vivo Y19s that they debuted about two weeks ago, and by naming convention, Y19e seems to be the cut-down version. But, most of the time in these entry-tier categories, phones seem to follow each other more closely than you think.

Now, if you want to understand their vision for Vivo's budget new phone, we might need to look at Y19s for some context. Y19s is a phone with a 6.68” LCD HD+ panel that can push the display to 90Hz refresh speeds, and keep a 1000 nits peak brightness under the sun on an IPS.

They used a Unisoc T612 engine for it and even wired it with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They also got the MIL-STD-810H Military Standards Certificate for Y19s. There’s even a 50 MP camera and a 5000mAh battery, all tied in a neat little bow of an IP64-rated chassis.
