Vivo Y19s Overpriced in Pakistan? Users Say It’s Worth Much Less

Vivo unveiled the budget Y19s in Pakistan about a month ago but this phone was met with critique rather than appreciation. A month has passed and the feedback has been less than kind with several key concerns mentioned by Y19s users. This small piece covers most of them.

This phone has dual RAM options, with the base 4 GB + 128 GB and the high-end 6 GB + 128 GB variant, but both have high prices. Even at its base cost, a 5 MP selfie camera feels restrictive for a Rs 38,999 tag. Users are unhappy due to its weak performance and believe it could be better for what Y19s costs.

A 5500mAh battery is great, but this phone only has a slow 15W charging support, per the user feedback. They say the phone takes several hours to reach a full charge at only 15W due to a bigger cell. Competing brands like Tecno or Infinix at this price go with 33W fast charging or more.

Vivo Y19s includes a 90Hz refresh rate on its 6.68” screen, but the HD+ 720p resolution has been a major drawback for users. Buyers expect at least 1080p FHD+ resolution in this segment, and the user feedback reflects that. But, in Vivo’s defense, the high resolution could’ve strained the SoC, making the UI laggy and animations choppy.

This Vivo’s new budget phone is built around a Unisoc T612 chip, usually labeled as a weak SoC. Users think the competing phones have better chipsets in the same price bracket, like the Helio G85 or the Helio G88 inside Infinix’s Hot 40. Some even offer better RAM and storage options.

Because of all these reasons, people believe that the Vivo Y19s is overpriced at Rs 38,999, even more so for the 6GB variant which demands Rs 42,999. They suggest a price tag of Rs 20,000 or above would be more appropriate for the phone’s specs.

This phone could still be your go-to choice if you need an ultra-durable handset. It has a military-grade SGS Five Star drop-resistant body and an IP64 rating, so it’s dust and waterproof. Vivo’s focus with the Y19s is a strong and semi-rugged design at a cheap price. Still, Vivo has other handsets that bring value and performance in one package.
