The 8/256 GB variant of the Y200 has been sitting on the shelves in Pakistani mobile stores for some time, but as we suspected, Vivo Y200 has also gone official as an 8/128 GB option for a way lower price. Of course, the rest of its specifications remain the same, and here’s a rundown of all of them.
The basic 128 GB variant has just the same LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. But if that number feels limiting, you can always throw a microSD card in it for expansion. Y200 will allow you to use a maximum of 1 TB card. You can even boost its RAM virtually by 8GB.
We also looked up its SoC and system info, and it turns out, Y200 still uses the outdated Android 14 OS and Snapdragon 685 platform. It’s a good thing that this SoC has a boost clock of 2.8 GHz, so Y200 should have no problem running smoothly.
And speaking of smooth, we’d also like to tell you about its 120Hz refresh rate and AMOLED E4 display. An FHD+ resolution and 107% DCI-03 color accuracy means the content will pop on this decent-sized screen. Vivo says that the panel is 6.67” with 1800 nits brightness, which is insane to see in the budget category, especially considering the Vivo smartphone price.
On the flip side, the cameras are your typical assortment with a 50 MP (Main) and a 2 MP depth lens for bokeh. Vivo also gave Y200 its signature Auro Light flash, which can assist with your portraits. You will even spot a 32MP sensor on the front, so expect phenomenal selfies here as well.
IP64 dust and splashproof build is one of its better qualities. We say splashproof because this rating doesn’t allow full water submersion like some premium devices do unlike the other Y series devices like the Vivo Y19s. You at least get wet-hand touch support, which means the screen won’t go haywire when you try to use it with oily or wet fingers.
