Two budget Vivo phones, dubbed Vivo Y22 4G and Y35, will soon debut in Pakistan. Belonging to the chain’s Y-catalog, both phones feature great value for their price. Amid the duo, Y22, the successive entry-tier sibling of Vivo Y21t, carries a relatively appealing spec sheet in its segment.
Design
With its sizable black-accented camera plate and pleasing flat-edged design, Vivo Y22 stands out in the slew of affordable devices in the market. The phone flashes metallic rims around its dual-lens setup for an added premium feel. It will likely ship in two colorways; Starlight Blue and Metaverse Green.
Display
Moving over to its front, users will find a 2.5D curved IPS screen cropped at 6.55-inches with a 60Hz refresh rate and 720p resolution. For bezel width, it clocks in at an average 82.4% screen-to-body ratio. Vivo’s iconic V-notch melts into the screen with minimal intrusion.
Storage Configurations
For lag-free multitasking, the new 4G Vivo mobile pairs 4Gigs of RAM with 4Gigs of virtually extended memory. With its SD card-compatible SIM tray, the phone can expand its 64GB inbuilt storage.
SoC, Battery, and Charging Speed
MediaTek’s mid-range Helio G85 chip lies under Y22’s deck. Although the CPU on this phone is old, it can still outperform many devices in the same price range. It clocks at a max speed 2.0GHz and incorporates a MALI-G52 GPU to handle gaming and Visuals. Its chassis envelopes a standard 5000mAh battery rated for 18W charging to keep the CPU energized.
Camera & Essentials
For the Optics, it uses a 50MP wide and a 2MP auxiliary macro shooter paired with an 8MP front camera. Y22’s essential features entail a side-mounted biometric, Type-C 2.0 port, 3.5mm jack, IP54 resistance, Dual-SIM standby option, and Android 12 x Funtouch OS 12. The upcoming handset is expected to carry a retail marker just above the Vivo Y21 price tag in Pakistan.
