Vivo has been making waves in the smartphone arena, and their upcoming addition to the Y-series, the Vivo Y27s, is creating quite a buzz. Following the recent launches of the Y55t, Y33t, and Y78t in China, Vivo shows no signs of slowing down.

After leaving crumbs on TKDN and Bluetooth SIG, Vivo Y27s has surfaced on Geekbench to flex its performance. The public document from this benchmarking platform provides information about the device’s key specifications.

Listed on Geekbench with the model number V2322, the Y27s boasts a motherboard codenamed “Bengal” featuring an octa-core processor. It's powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, with four cores clocked at 1.90GHz and another four running at 2.40GHz.

Accompanying this chipset is the Adreno 610 GPU. The latest budget Vivo mobile tested via Geekbench packs 8GB of RAM. However, there are likely more variants in the pipeline. It will run on Android 13 straight out of the box.

In the Geekbench tests, the Vivo Y27s impressively scored 412 points in the single-core and 1,454 points in the multi-core test, hinting at robust performance. The newcomer joins the existing Y27 lineup, which includes the Y27 5G and Y27 4G.

The earlier devices, launched in mid-2023, feature 6.64-inch IPS displays with FHD+ resolution. They sport a 50MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. Under the hood, the Y27 5G has a Dimensity 6020 chipset, while the Y27 4G runs on the Helio G85 chipset. Both carry a robust 5,000mAh battery.

Expect Vivo Y27s to feature stats in line with the predecessor’s footprint. As the newcomer continues to make headlines, we can expect more details to emerge in the coming days, so stay tuned.
