We await another entry-level entry from Vivo. They are about to take the Vivo Y28 4G to the stage soon. It's to be a renewal of the old Y28 (2014) or the Y28 5G from a few months ago. In any case, the FCC has approved it, and we are here to report the details it spilled.
The name says it all about the Vivo Y28. Its focus is on 4G with SoC replaced and maybe a few relatively better specs. Note that the FCC certifies the device with serial number V2352. Because it got an all-clear from Bluetooth SIG and Indonesian Telecom, we believe it to be a global device.
Battery bump is the first change Y28 4G lords over its 5G sibling. FCC says that the phone has a 5870 mAh cell. But they may advertise that volume as typical 6,000 mAh. Over 1000 mAh scaled over the old Y28 5G.
A fast 44W charging is also coming with this Vivo's latest budget 4G mobile. FCC confirmed that also in the listing with other details. And Vivo will ship a 44W brick inside the box as always. Because it's a 2024 phone, Android 14 is due with FunTouch OS 14 as the middle man. That's about it from FCC about the Y28 4G.
Its remaining specs may be the same as Y28 5G. That model has an ordinary IPS 90Hz HD+ screen. There's a 50MP first camera and an 8MP selfie. A 6.56" display greets the user. A fingerprint sensor is on the side, plus an IP54 rating protects it against water and dust.
