Vivo Y28 4G hit Pakistan in July, and back in the day, they only pushed its 8/128 GB memory trim for retail in our region. Well, that’s changing today, by the looks of it, because they have now made a 6/128 GB trim official in Pakistan, of course, as a cheaper alternate.
It’s packing some good stuff in a typical Vivo fashion, you have entry-to-mid-range specs and a significant focus on design. Then there’s Y28’s massive powerhouse and a 44W charging kit, but don’t expect much on the performance side or display.
There’s a 720p 6.68” LCD on Vivo’s Y28 4G: not the best quality, but we still have 1000nits brightness and a 90Hz refresh rate to compensate for that low pixel count. They even gave it a punch-hole crop and got this Vivo's latest budget handset certified for low blue light emission and safe DC dimming.
IP64 rating is present here, so it will also check the box for durability, and it’s still quite light at 199g. Android 14 Funtouch 14 OS should work fine with its Helio G85 SoC, but this variant will have less RAM at 6 GB so multitasking will take a light hit.
Two cameras out back and flash LED on a square island have a presentable look, and they mount 50 MP + 2 MP sensors inside it. Then we see an 8 MP selfie unit on the front side. Vivo has cut costs on some of its features, but not on the power side: 6000mAh cell x 44W charging. This new 6 GB variant will cost you Rs 46,999/-.
