Vivo Y28 4G Launched Overseas with Helio G85, 6000mAh Cell, and 44W Charging

Vivo does 4G renditions of the same device all the time. Come to think of it, it’s a common practice in this industry. We saw the Vivo Y28 5G launch in January. And right when its existence was starting to fade. They put together a Vivo Y28 4G with Helio G85. Singapore is where they released it.

Nothing extraordinary about this model. It looks good, though. Those Agate Green and Gleaming Orange designs maybe this one’s only saving grace. Flat body, and atop, you can see a 6.68” IPS screen at a 90Hz refresh. We get 1000 nits brightness out of that panel. One thing that might bug users is a lowly 720p resolution.

Then there are cameras to gush about. Its rear side’s 50 MP piece paired up with a 2 MP depth mapper. Aura light’s there and a flash as well. We’ve got a light-res 8 MP selfie snapper up on that display. All are great specs, but not shocking at all. They use this config almost all the time.

Helio G85 is running the show behind the scenes. That chip has aged. Still, the industry considers this one a proper entry-tier SoC. 2.0 Ghz and Mali G52 keep it in the running. The Vivo budget 4G new mobile does at least get you through the door with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM.

Up next is a beefy 6000 mAh cell. Vivo Y28 4G puts a 44W charging kit inside for quick top-ups. And then there’s an IP64 rating. That will keep the load off your brain about its durability. It’s a 2024 phone, so obviously, it has an Android 14. Vivo Y28 4G is about USD 199 (~PKR 55,000).
