Vivo Y28 4G Arrives Carrying a Hefty Price in Pakistan; Helio G85, 6000mAh, 44W Charge

They’ve finally launched the Vivo Y28 4G in Pakistan. And It’s packing some good stuff in a typical Vivo fashion. You have entry-to-mid-range specs and a significant focus on design. Then there’s Y28’s massive powerhouse and a 44W charging kit. Here’s a roster of all the things it offers.

IPS 6.68” display rides upfront and gets a punch hole cutout on top for very minimum intrusion. There’s a 90Hz refresh rate and about 1000nits brightness; nothing to complain about thus far. But a 720p resolution seems lacking. Especially for the price tag slapped on it.

Vivo Y28 goes big on eye protection and durability. High-brightness eye protection is one of its better qualities. This phone is TUV low Bluelight certified. They include Stepless HBM and Global DC dimming here. It will endure rough usage and keep the water and dust to a minimum with an IP64 rating.

Funtouch OS 14 and Android 14 manage the inner workings of Vivo Y28. Helio G85 pulls the load here, and up to 16 GB RAM (8GB physical + 8GB virtual) does the heavy lifting for multitasks. 44W charging will be plenty fast, plus it makes sense, seeing that Vivo's budget new 4G smartphone has a massive 6000mAh battery inside.

Two cameras lay on the back, and the third hides inside the screen. In a squared camera island, there’s one 50MP shooter, and the other is a 2MP auxiliary. Then we have an 8MP selfie snapper cropped into the screen. There’s only one Vivo Y28 variant available in Pakistan, and that’s 8/128 GB. Its retail price is Rs 49,999.
