In December 2020, we witnessed the Regular Vivo Y30 4G variant's rollout around the globe. One and a half years later, the company is working on a 5G version of the handset. The Vivo Y30 5G will soon see the light as it has secured a position on Thailand's National Broadcast and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

According to the regulatory authority's data, the Vivo Y30 5G bagged a model number V2160. It also disclosed the handset carrying support for GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR and 5G networks. That's it as far as the listing is concerned, no other detail got revealed. However, the Y30 5G is expected to present a somewhat similar specification portfolio as its 4G sibling.

The Y30 5G is expected to arrive with a 5G-enabled MediaTek chipset which is yet to be confirmed and should retain the 6GB of RAM as found on the 4G counterpart, other similar highlights are rumored to include 128GB of internal storage, and the 5,000mAh battery.

The standard Y30 featured an octa-core 4G Helio P35 chipset. The display rocks a 6.51" HD+ IPS LCD with a 720p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The same display size is suggested for the Latest 5G Vivo mobile yet it is expected to feature higher resolution and refresh rates.

The vanilla Y30 also acquired power from a 5,000 mAh battery but charging speeds were capped at 10W. On the rear, it deploys dual shooters for photography—a 13 MP main f/2.2 aperture lens coupled with a 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

The Y30 5G is also expected to boast a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as its little brother. Overall, the handset will feature low-cost internals, considering it's a budget-segment device. There is no official statement regarding the Y30 5G's specifications, but we will update you as soon as we hear anything.
