Vivo Y300 5G Spotted for the First Time on IMEI Database; Unveiling Soon

Their Vivo Y200 series is almost at the end of its cycle. After nearly half a dozen variations from the same lineup, it’s good that Vivo has finally decided to move on from the series. The new Vivo Y300 5G is underway due for launch very soon. GizmoChina found its clues in the IMEI Database.

We expect the entire Vivo Y300 series to foray in a few weeks, as we came across the Y300 Pro 5G some time ago. And now we have the vanilla Vivo Y300 5G, listed officially on IMEI’s website, foreshadowing the launch just around the corner.

This phone has a model number ‘V2416.’ IMEI database doesn’t confirm anything else. Except that it has 5G capabilities. Chances are, the Y300 5G gets an MTK Dimensity or a high-end Snapdragon engine at its hull. Unfortunately, these are the only details available at the time.

Vivo Y300 5G is a continuation of the old Y200, so it’s likely building on the forerunner’s fairly competent spec sheet. It uses an AMOLED 120Hz screen with 800 nits brightness. There’s 1080p resolution and a 16 MP selfie shooter crammed into a punch hole.

It was also home to a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor and began the journey with Android 13 OS onboard. 44W charging kit plugged into a 4800mAh cell, and there was IP54 certification for splash and dust proofing. Vivo Y300 5G will be perfectly acceptable, even if it features meager upgrades over these specifications.
