Vivo Y300 Pro and Y300 Plus became official in September and October, respectively, but until this point, we hadn’t seen or heard anything about the vanilla Vivo Y300. It’s late, but we finally have a word from the company about the handset’s reveal next week.
A teaser appeared yesterday with the launch date and the phone’s design, revealing 21st November as the big day for the unveiling. It seems that Y300 is a rebranded Vivo V40 Lite that they launched in Indonesia back in September, thus their specs should align.
If this theory is correct, you should assume that the Y300 is a handset built around a 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz screen, flat design with a fingerprint reader under the same panel. It’s bright at 1800 nits peak HBM and we have almost uniform bezels on that display.
They used a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip here, which uses a 2.2 GHz CPU clock to run an Android 14 Operating system. Then we have up to 12 GB onboard plus 512 GB storage with the maxed-out version of V40 Lite. This Vivo new 5G handset even has an IP64 rating.
Vivo Y300 has a potentially great camera setting if it follows V40 Lite: 50 MP (main) unit + 8 MP (ultrawide) secondary + 32 MP selfie camera on the front. We have a 5000mAh battery on this new Vivo phone that can recharge at a fast 80W input via Type C cable.
