Vivo recently confirmed that a new budget device is headed to China on March 14th. It’s an “i” model from Vivo's Y300 series. Of course, it won't be alone, and we expect the lineup to host multiple handsets for different segments in the future. One of the models will be the Vivo Y300 Pro+, which might be an upper mid-range device.

The leaker Panda is Bald on Weibo found some preliminary details about the Y300 Pro Plus and made them public via a post. He mentioned an unbelievable battery capacity and even revealed camera/SoC details on Weibo. The user has a great track record with leaks, which is why his post is popping up in the headlines.

From what the details revealed, there’s a 7320mAh rated battery inside the Vivo Y300 Pro+, which might be advertised as 7500mAh (typical). It’s a huge number, with an associated fear of a bulky design for Vivo’s new device. If the leak pans out, we are excited to see how Vivo handles the Y300 Pro Plus’ thickness.

There was more in the leak. Panda is Bald mentions a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip inside the new model. This is a chip with a 2.5 GHz clock and an Adreno 810 SoC, all based on a 4nm architecture. It may not be the fastest, but it does position the Vivo Y300 Pro+ in a midrange segment. , which aligns with typical Vivo phone prices in this category.

In the camera specs, the first 50 MP primary camera was revealed, and the second selfie sensor on the front with a 32 MP unit. It’s not a lot to go on, but more details about the camera might also get exposed in the future. The Y300 Pro+ will be the third installment in the series.

Vivo already introduced a base Y300 in November last year, and a Y300 Pro sometime before that. The Pro is based on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, which is also a 4nm engine, but its clock speed is 2.2GHz. The standard Pro has a 6500mAh battery. The last Y-series budget entry to the Pakistani market is the Vivo Y04, Launched in February 2024.

Vivo also plans to release Vivo Y300i on March 12th, which seems to be the lowest-ranking sibling in the family. Rumors say the Y300i is built around a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and 720p 6.68” IPS LCD. Taking into account the cost of the previous device, Vivo Y300 Pro+ is expected to have a price of around 2000 Yuan (~PKR 77,000).
