Vivo Y300i Gets an Official Launch Date; Here are Full Specs & Price Expectations

Vivo from BBK group now has a new device in the works with a nametag Vivo Y300i. The company even confirmed its intentions yesterday and teased a near launch for Y300i in China next week. There are limited official details, but we’ve managed to scrounge up the phone’s specs and features from the web.

After the company released its official launch date for March 14th, Vivo Y300i was also approved by the China Telecom listing moments later and gave away almost all of its specifications. It’s safe to assume that these specs are legitimate since they come from a certification authority.

It’s reported that the Y300i has the same processor as the forerunner Y200i, which is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 entry-level and 5G-ready SoC. We hear the display size is smaller than last time since the Y300i carries a 6.68” panel. Another heartbreaking news is the downgraded resolution. Vivo Y300i only has an HD+ 720p screen.

There was nothing in the Telecom certification about Y300i’s refresh rate, though the safest bet is a 120Hz refresh rate, borrowed from the parent device. This latest Vivo semi-budget mobile will bring at least 8 GB RAM and options as high as 12 GB with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage configurations.

It will be one of those premium entry-level phones with Android 15 OS as the default system, but since it’s launching in China, there’s Origin OS inside this device. We also found its power specs in the same certification listings, and the Y300i impresses in that category as well.

There’s a 6500mAh battery at the newcomer’s core, which is almost a 500mAh boost over the Vivo Y200i’s battery. There’s no upgrade in terms of charging speed, but 44W input is still a decent addition to Y300i’s spec sheet. Of course, no device is complete without a set of cameras, so here’s what we found about this Vivo handset.

Vivo Y300i will use a 50 MP camera on the back in a dual configuration, though the secondary shooter remains unknown. The selfie camera was also revealed, but sadly, it might be a hard pill to swallow at only 5 MP resolution. A side fingerprint reader, NFC, and IR Blaster are also part of the package. It’s believed that Vivo Y300i’s starting price might be around $205 (~PKR 57,000).
