In early March this year, Vivo brought their budget-friendly Vivo Y31 to Pakistan. It is a low mid-range phone featuring Qualcomm silicon, a massive 5000 mAh battery, and a stylish design. While we were waiting for the upcoming Vivo V21e Launch, the Y31 became even more affordable with a new price cut.
Vivo hasn’t made the discount official with announcements yet, but sources inform Whatmobile that Rs. 3,000 will be knocked off the price. Instead of Rs. 34,999, the Vivo Y31 is now available for Rs. 31,999.
For starters, the Y31 has a crisp, high-resolution display. We’re looking at a 6.58” IPS LCD with a 1080P resolution. No high refresh rate to be seen here, but this notched screen can filter eye-straining blue light.
No other change was observed in the Vivo price list. Coming back to the Y31, the phone’s shell has a 3D feature to it, containing beveled edges and smooth corners. It comes in Vivo’s signature Ocean Blue and Racing Black gradients. A side-facing thumbprint reader sitting within the frame pulls double duty as the power button. At 8.38mm of depth and 188g of weight, the Y31 has a reasonable footprint.
Vivo Y31 cameras are laid out inside a rectangular strip, featuring three lenses in a ‘big eye’ layout. It’s made of a 48MP wide camera and two low-res bokeh and super macro cameras. The onboard camera app can shoot in multiple night filters and stabilize videos with software wizardry. Selfies are taken with an 8MP f/1.8 lens.
The performance is driven by the Snapdragon 662, built on an 11nm process and powered by a 5000 mAh battery. Vivo Y31 can be quick-charged over 18W; a single charge can easily last you through the day. You get 4GB of multitasking memory and 128GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card. The build also includes a 3.5mm audio jack and the latest version of FunTouchOS 11.
