In a recent news story, WhatMobile reported the detailed launch timeline for an upcoming Vivo budget phone, the Y33s. The new Vivo Y53s sibling is headed to Pakistan later this month, and official sources have kicked off the promotional campaign.
Vivo Pakistan posted two teasers on their social media with a vague ‘coming soon’ tagline. Our reliable sources have already uncovered the release details, however. The Vivo Y33s will be announced on September 28. You can pre-order it between September 28 and October 4. Following which the phone will hit store shelves on October 5.
2021 is the year when flat-edge phones are making a comeback. Taking a page out of the Apple design book, the Vivo Y33s has sharp, squared-off edges and corners. The plastic shell is similarly flat and finished in two shades — the iridescent Midday Dream and the muted-but-elegant Mirror Black.
The screen of the new Vivo mobile phone 2021 has a nondescript notch bleeding from the top. The Y33s delivers a 1080P resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. We’re looking at a 6.58” IPS LCD with a built-in blue light filter and a 96% NTSC color space.
The notch contains a 16MP front camera. Three lenses — a 50MP wide and two 2MP cameras — make a cyclops-style cluster on the back. Vivo Y33s shoots in Night and Pro modes on both cameras. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side. You can switch to Face Wake too.
Inside the Y33s by Vivo, you find the Helio G80, 8GB of memory, and 128GB of expandable storage. Everything is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 18W charging. The price of the handset could fall anywhere between Rs. 35,999 to 38,999 PKR.
