While tailing the chain’s movements, the rumor mill found a new model V2230A on TENAA. It revealed several notable aspects of an under-development phone, with no hints about its moniker.
That was until now; a freshly spotted leak on the web confirmed the new-found device to be a 5G-rebooted Vivo Y35. Since it appeared on TENAA, it’s likely imminent in China. However, we can expect a global debut if it appears on other platforms. Let’s see what’s inside this newly concocted rehash by Vivo.
With a 6.51-inch IPS panel supporting an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, the phone draws power from a 5G-enabled chipset clocked at 2.2GHz. While the chipset model remains a mystery, we can confirm that the phone will boot to an Android 12-based operating system.
Besides a 5-megapixel camera up front, the Vivo's brand new model, the Y35 5G will also sport a dual 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera configuration on the back. It awaits a side-mounted biometric reader for security. It will tap several storage/memory combos in a wide pricing range.
According to TENAA, Vivo Y35 5G will be available in RAM variants of 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB, teamed with storage variants at 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB.
3C, another Chinese platform, indexed it for certification recently. It entailed a 5000mAh cell and 18W charging support on the new Y35. It will clock at 164.05 x 75.6 x 8.15mm in length, width, and depth. With the launch date under wraps and multiple certifications at hand, we can only assume that it will go official in a week or so. The retail tag of the 4G variant of Y35 is the same as the Vivo Y55 price, with quite a similar spec sheet.
