Vivo Y36 4G Pops Out on Geekbench to Reveal Snapdragon 680 Chip and 8GB RAM

Vivo preps for yet another budget smartphone release. Word on the internet is; the newcomer will be the successor to Vivo's popular Y35 model from 2022 and will bear the name "Vivo Y36 4G." Interestingly, the device has recently undergone testing on Geekbench, revealing some intriguing details about its specifications. Have a look.


Geekbench has highlighted some interesting details about the upcoming Vivo Y36 4G, currently being identified with the model number V2247. With a motherboard codenamed "Bengal," the newcomer mounts a total of eight cores, with four running at 2.4GHz and four at 1.9GHz, all coupled with an integrated Adreno 610 GPU.

The specs hint at the Snapdragon 680 chipset, the same 4G-enabled processor powering the forerunner. Geekbench specifies the phone's 8GB memory variant here, but Vivo likely has more storage options in the bank.


The device's benchmark in the performance segment yielded a single-core score of 410 and a multi-core score of 1343, which places it in the middle tier of the highly competitive smartphone market. The latest Vivo budget mobile will come pre-installed with the latest Android 13 operating system. That about wraps up the details about Vivo Y36 on Geekbench.


The rumor mill speculates the phone's price to be between 220 - 240 USD, and its specifications will include a massive 6.8-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. Complemented by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, the phone will bear a hassle-free unlocking experience.

Reportedly, Vivo Y36 4G will sport an impressive 50MP primary camera on the rear. All the while being powered by a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 44W, ensuring uninterrupted usage. The details here follow the specifications of Y35, and Vivo Y36 might be revamped version of the forerunner.
