Vivo will soon take the wraps off a new device called Vivo Y36s. Recently, the giant landed a phone in China with the moniker Vivo G2, and the newcomer discovered on the Google Play Console listing is likely a spin-off of that device. There haven’t been any teasers or promotions but the phone’s listing on GPC is a welcome sight.

Vivo Y36s was certified by the Google Play Console under the model code PD2318. Per the documentation and product image attached with the listing, we learn that the Y36s potentially hosts a Dimensity 6020 chip and the year-old Android 13.

Its screen has a round notch bleeding into it and a bulky chin on the bottom side. It peaks at a 720p HD+ resolution and a pixel density of 440 PPI. It remains unverified for now but all signs point to a rebranded version of the Chinese Vivo G2.

If true, it would feature a 5000 mAh battery and support for 15W fast charging. Plus, the rebranded Vivo Y36s will also get 8GB memory options of LPDDR4X and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. And there will be a microSD card slot for extendable storage space on the new Vivo 4G mobile.

Despite trimming down most features that make those devices unique, we believe the Vivo Y36s will be lumped between the Vivo Y36 and Y36i. All these devices have a 90Hz screen in common albeit with different sizes. The Y36s will be IPS 6.56-inch. They will also maintain a disparity between camera specs so watch out for that.
