Vivo's Y series especially the Vivo y20 has set some new standards in Pakistan. Now the brand has a new edition of the budget Y73 in the works, the Vivo Y73 2021. No formal announcements have been made yet, but the phone was featured on two certification platforms. We have an early preview and a few specifications to report.
Courtesy of the publication 91Mobiles, Vivo Y73 2021 was found listed on the Google Play Console and IMEI databases. The title belongs to the model “V2059.” It rocks MediaTek silicon, a crisp high-definition screen, and plenty of memory for multitasking.
The Google Play Console listing for the Y73 2021 comes with a front-facing image of the phone. You can make out volume rockers and a side-facing thumbprint reader that doubles as the power button. The chin is heavyset, and the top bezel morphs into a notch.
The handset will soon join the Vivo price list carrying a 1080P display at a pixel density of 440 PPI. It’s all powered by the MediaTek Helio G90 — it’s built on an octa-core CPU, clocked at 2.05 GHz. The Android-11-based FunTouchOS runs on the Vivo Y73 2021, straight out of the box. Plus, you get 8GB of RAM.
In related news, the Vivo Y53s was also certified by Google. It offers Helio G80, 8GB of memory, 128GB/256GB storage, and a full HD screen. Both the Y73 2021 and Y53s could be slated for launch in June.
