Vivo has dropped no less than seven Y-series phones already this year where the Vivo Y15s is the latest in the Pakistani market. The back-to-back releases aren’t slowing down because the brand just introduced Vivo Y75 5G to the global market. Let’s take a quick look.
Note that the Y75 5G is a mildly tweaked Y55 5G that debuted this month. The Vivo Y75 5G features better multitasking and a sharper selfie camera. But the plastic casing and other specs are shared with its predecessor, down to the color options. You can pick from Glowing Galaxy and Starlight Black — a typical Vivo pairing.
The 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 is at the heart of this phone. It’s an entry-level 5G chip powered by a 5000 mAh battery. Plus, Vivo Y75 5G supports 18W quick-charging support. You get 8GB of virtually extended memory and 128GB of internal storage. FunTouchOS 12 x Android 11 runs on the hardware.
Vivo phone price is a bit high as it's a 5G phone but the specs justify the price tag. A notch bleeds into the screen, another typical Vivo design feature. The screen is a 6.58” 1080P IPS LCD. We find a thumbprint reader pulling double duty as the power button on the frame. There is no built-in gyroscope, but the Vivo Y75 5G supports microSD storage expansion.
The camera system is nothing to write home about either. The triple-lens array on the back is a cluster of 50MP wide-angle, 2MP portrait, and 2MP macro shooters.
The front camera has a 16MP sensor. Super Night Mode and Eye Autofocus features are available on both cameras. Vivo Y75 5G starts from ~ PKR 52,000.
