Vivo’s Y series of smartphones is a youth-centric lineup that aims to provide 5G connectivity to the masses, at an affordable price. The global variant of the Vivo Y77 5G will officially join this 5G race on July 7. The manufacturer is releasing the new sibling of Vivo Y55 in Malaysia first, and other Asian markets should follow soon, hopefully, including Pakistan.

Courtesy of Vivo’s social media accounts and tipster Rootmygalaxy, we have most of the Vivo Y77 5G’s specs to inform. The handset features flat sides and an AG matte finish on the rear, where two circular modules house its cameras. It’s a duo of 50 MP primary and 2 MP macro lenses. The Chinese tech giant has integrated a MediaTek Dimesity 810 SoC at its heart, paired with an 8GB/256GB storage configuration.

The front panel is a 6.58’’ Full HD+ 60Hz LCD hosting the 16 MP front camera in a dewdrop notch. This camera also supports face unlocking. The Y77 5G supports virtual RAM expansion up to 4GB, while the internal memory is MicroSD expandable as well. A 5,000 mAh battery and 18W Flash charging power the device.

Due to a large battery capacity, the device goes from 7.8mm and 175g to 8.25mm and 194g compared to its predecessor, Y76 5G. The power button of the Y77 5G  also doubles as a thumbprint sensor. The device will run Android 12 out of the box with FunTouch OS 12 on top.

The Y77 5G also got launched in china today but that's a totally different variant with different specs and is targeted only at the Chinese market. The global variant is expected to be priced at 855 Ringgit in Malaysia. If arrives in Pakistan, the Y77 could cost around 40,000 to 45,000 Pakistani rupees.
